Quick history lesson: During the social turmoil of the Civil Rights Movement in the ‘60s, Angela Davis came onto the scene as a radical political activist. Davis fought for women’s rights, black empowerment and better conditions for prisoners. With so many incredible feats on her resume, it’s no wonder why rapper Rah Digga would write a tribute to her.

With lyrics like “I’m Angela Davis, I ain’t shaken by buns/I’m shouting power to the people and wavin’ them guns” and “I love my black features, I’m not tryin’ to get no facelifts,” it’s clear that Rah Digga has a lot to say.
