In theme with our mission of redefining beauty, we planned our first Lookbook shoot around the concept of featuring locations that are not traditionally seen as beautiful but have a certain intriguing richness or depth. Wardrobe stylist Jerrie Fu gives the recap below.

Our Lookbook shoot took place over two days in early February and our team had a lot of fun! We rented a studio at Photo Center NW for the first day, where we set up our makeup and wardrobe stations and took some in-studio shots with award-winning photographer Carlos Javier Sanchez. The models and our photography and video team then ventured out on the streets of Capitol Hill to find the best locations. Afrobeatnik photographer Hannah Letinich shot with the girls both individually and in pairs. We all worked together to capture the perfect lighting and environment for each photo.
The second day of the photoshoot began in Angela’s apartment, where our fabulous model Samantha had her hair and makeup done by stylist Lindsay Martz. Meanwhile, the photography and video team scouted locations in Georgetown. We found several places that fit our concept perfectly, including the loading docks of old warehouses and an abandoned truck.
Since one of our models couldn't make it, I stepped in and posed with Samantha for several shots with videographer Shann Thomas. Check out the resulting video below and stay tuned for the debut of our Lookbook!
