Back in January Afrobeatnik gave new meaning to the term "frugal" as our first product photography shoot took place in my tiny apartment. Shot over two days, we photographed dozens of great pieces for our website, worked with 13 beautifully diverse models, and had the help of 5 different hair and makeup stylists. I was the photographer, Miss Jerrie Fu rocked it as wardrobe stylist assistant, and Hannah Letinich provided invaluable help as a photo assistant.

Each model was scheduled in two hour blocks throughout the day. Honestly, it was stressful having so many people in my personal space but totally worth it in saved resources and the photos turned out pretty dope (can't wait to share soon!). Looking back on the experience, I must say I love our little set and the fact that things came together in a scrappy, creative way. Creativity and resourcefulness are two things Afrobeatnik is proud to be associated with on many levels.
